>Saturday's GOP rally gets additional speakers: The Floyd County Republican Party's fourth annual rally is now scheduled to feature U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, Secretary of State Karen Handel, Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine, House Speaker Glenn Richardson and state GOP chair Sue Everhart -- and local candidates. The rally is at Richard B. Russell Airport in the Tillman Hangar from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Barbecue plates will be served for $10 per person or $20 per family. >Trio leaves Heritage First Bank group: Three executives with Heritage First Bank and it's holding company have left the organization. Bryan Kelley, chief financial officer of Heritage First Bancshares; Michael Baker, chief credit officer and former bank president; and Reed Biggers, senior vice president and commercial lender, are "pursuing other opportunities," said Ryan Earnest, president of Heritage First. "We wish them well," he said, adding that they "remain good friends of ours." The changes are among several within the bank this year. Earnest recently was named president and Ronnie Wallace has joined the organization. Heritage First also is building a new branch in Armuchee, has purchased a former bank site on Shorter Avenue and opened a second location in Orange Beach, Ala., earlier this year> Heritage
