>Coosa Valley Federal Credit Union 17th in Chronicle's annual listing:

The 2008 list of Georgia's Top 25 Credit Unions ranks Coosa Valley Federal Credit Union as No. 17, based on total assets, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The state's premiere business weekly listed CVFCU's assets at about $100.8 million as of Dec. 31. Total shares and deposits were at $87.8 million. Interest income was listed at $6.29 million with non-interest income at $2.2 million. Coosa Valley was ranked no. 18 in 2007. The top credit union was Delta Community with assets of almost $2.6 billion followed by Atlanta Postal Credit Union ($1.54 billion).

Barely a week old, www.gordonhospital.com features an all-in-one home page with information for patients, links for recruiting and other details. >Hotels 'R Us: One quick follow on Monday's posting about local hotels. With Comfort Suites and La Quinta due in service soon, Rome/Floyd County will have 1,048 hotel rooms under "flags" (franchise names) for guests to use.

>Rome Hooters remains in limbo: With the "original" site at Etowah plaza vacant and the "new" site just as dead near State Mutual Stadium, local Hooters' fans could be facing a fall football season without a familiar favorite. Asked for an update, Hooters contact Carl Matlock wrote back as follows: "Sorry, everything is on hold at this time." The new site is about to forfeit the entire Rome Braves' season. The last regular-season home game is Monday, Sept. 1; 17 home games remain.

>Forestar, Towne West developers, names new VP: Forestar Real Estate Group Inc., builders of what will become Towne West near Adairsville, has named Flavious Smith as Executive Vice President/Minerals. He's responsible for managing the company's 622,000 net mineral acres in Georgia, Texas, Louisiana and Alabama> Forestar
