Bad air day for Bartow, much of metro Atlanta:

The National Weather Service has placed Bartow County and much of metro Atlanta under a code orange air quality alert today. That means the air is considered unhealthy for people who are sensitive to ozone and to people with heart of lung disease. Chattooga gas prices drop considerably (updated 7/21)

Hometown regular KK alerted us to what appears to be a price war under way in Chattooga County. At one point during the weekend, prices were in the $2.80 range. This morning, we're finding prices as 'low' as $3.79. Statewide average at $3.99: A year ago, we were paying $2.86.
