-Northwest Georgia has seen record rainfall over the last six months putting the area 150 percent above normal levels. And with a predicted 'active' tropical season ahead, Georgia could be facing some extreme wet conditions later this year.

-What's next for the 411 Connector: Jeff Lewis, a member of the transportation board, says the problem is with the last mile of the bypass. The trick now is finding the right detour, he says.

-Explosive Independence Day ahead: Events start this Saturday and continue into July 5.
