Floyd Medical Center receives five marketing and public relations awards for its public relations efforts in 2012.

Media release: Floyd Medical Center was honored with five marketing and public relations awards for its public relations efforts in 2012. Floyd received the accolades from the Georgia Hospital Association's Society of Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations at their annual awards ceremony.  Floyd received one gold and four silver awards. 

The gold award was given in the Brochures and Printed Materials category and recognized Floyd's Service Recovery Action Guide.  Floyd's SituAIDET videos won a silver in Audiovisual category, while the Polk Better Together billboards took a silver in the category recognizing Billboards and Outdoor Advertising.  The Service Recovery Action Guide also won a silver award for Single Audience Publication and the Outstanding Care Story, "World's Greatest Grandpa", received a silver award for writing.

"These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication put forth by this team year round," said Haley Walker, Floyd Director of Public Relations.  "We have a great story to tell at Floyd and we love to tell it.  To be recognized for those efforts is an added bonus."

The awards are presented annually by the GHA and represent the best efforts in healthcare marketing and public relations around the state.

Additionally, Floyd's Destination Joint Center video presentation won a Telly award, which recognizes the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs.
