Rome Symphony plans June 8 pops concert, July Fourth performance

June 8, 2013 CONCERT:

 

Gather your friends, your picnic dinner and your chairs and come to the concert !

 

Dr. Sam Baltzer and the Clock Tower Jazz Ensemble will perform on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. for the final concert of the Rome Symphony Orchestra's 2012-2013 subscription series. 

 

Enjoy the cool comfort of the Huffman Center at Darlington school for this traditional concert of the summer.  If you don't want to bring your own table and chairs, you can rent them for the evening.  We will have your table set up with chairs, tablecloth and votive candles to await your arrival.  Bring table decorations as there will be a "Best Dressed Table" award. 

 

Doors open at 6:00 for the 7:00 concert. 

 

Advance purchase of tickets on line or at retail outlets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $2 for students. Tickets at the door are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $5 for students.  For on-line ticket purchases or information on where to buy tickets at our retail outlets visit the RSO website at www.romesymphony.org   Table rentals may be made by calling the Symphony office at 706-291-7967.

 

 

You can also purchase advance tickets at Kroger, World Hi-Fi (Rome Recliners and More), The Visitor Center, Merry Bee Gallery, Living & Giving, Riverside Gourmet, and Bussey's in Cedartown.  These tickets are available now.

 

Join us at the Huffman Center, Darlington Campus, 1815 Cave Spring Road for the 7:00 p.m. concert.  Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.

 

4th of JULY CONCERT with the RSO

 

Harbin Clinic's 2nd Annual Community 4th of July Celebration at Ridge Ferry Park will feature an evening of traditional patriotic music ending in fireworks.  The event is presented in partnership with the Rome Floyd Parks & Recreation Department.  Music will be provided by the Rome Symphony Orchestra.  Gates will open at 6 p.m. The  Presentation of Flags and Colors will be at 8:00 p.m. followed by the Rome Symphony's full symphonic pops concert.  Fireworks are expected to begin around 9:30 p.m.
