‘Tis the Season at Oak Hill

(Media Release) Renew your Christmas spirit at "Candles and Carols", hosted by Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1.

The entrance, grounds, and drive of Oak Hill will be brightened by the glow of a thousand luminaries, a Berry College tradition that has become a much-anticipated part of the Roman holiday season.  Sounds of the holidays will be presented by Berry College ensembles as well as community choirs, and the Berry College Theatre Company will give a sneak preview of "Uh-Oh—Here Comes Christmas," a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Visitors are encouraged to explore the Oak Hill home, which has been decorated from floor to ceiling in honor of the holiday season.  Complimentary cider, cookies, and hot chocolate will be offered to guests. Santa Claus will be also be visiting Oak Hill for Candles and Carols, so be sure to bring your Christmas wish list! Photos with Santa are $5. Visitors will be able to purchase holiday presents for friends and family in the Oak Hill Gift Shop, a Berry Student Enterprise.

Admission to Candles and Carols is $5 for adults and $2 for children and students. Parking has been provided by Harbin Clinic--visitors must park in the rear Harbin parking lot on Martha Berry Boulevard. Shuttles to Oak Hill will then bring visitors to the event and return them to their vehicles.  For safety reasons, no cars will be permitted on the Oak Hill property.
