Media release: Georgia Northwestern Technical College's Adult Education Division is proud to announce that Janice Shea has successfully completed the requirements needed to become a Pearson Vue Certified Test Administrator. With this new certification, she will oversee the opening of a Pearson Vue Lab on the Floyd County Campus of Georgia Northwestern and the first computer-based administration of the General Educational Development Test (GED®) for the college.
While the paper-based administrations of the GED® Test will continue to be available through December 2012, the computer-based version will offer many advantages to potential examinees. Test applicants can register 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Registration and scheduling can be done any time, even on the test day based on availability. Instant unofficial results of testing will be available except for Language Arts – Writing.
