Lots of tennis between now and April 17

RIEI TENNIS ROUND ROBIN BENEFIT – The Ruble International Education Initiative will hold a Tennis Round Robin Doubles Tournament to benefit the RIEI on Saturday, April 14 at 9 a.m. at the Rome-Floyd Tennis Center. The tourney is open to men's and women's doubles teams of all ages and levels. The entry fee is $25 per person or any greater donation players want to make. All donations go to the RIEI, a locally operated, faith-based non-profit organization that seeks to reach young people from lower incomes throughout the world to facilitate students' goals of attaining a higher education. CVTA/SHANE'S RIB SHACK TEAM TENNIS LEAGUE – The Coosa Valley Tennis Association will hold its inaugural Shane's Rib Shack Team Tennis League for men and women starting April 17. Teams will be made up of a minimum of two women, and two men. Teams will play matches consisting of one line of men's doubles, one line of women's doubles, and two lines of mixed doubles. Players may play in a men's or women's doubles line and a mixed doubles line in the same match. The divisions will be 6.0, 7.0, and 8.0. Any combination of ratings can be used as long as they are equal to or less than the level rating. The team that wins each division will win $100 in gift certificates from Shane's Rib Shack. Captains will need to fill out a league entry form, and turn it in along with a check for $15 per player at the Rome Floyd Tennis Center. Matches will be played on Tuesday evenings for all levels of play. A captain's meeting will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Rome Floyd Tennis Center. CVTA FLEX SINGLES – The Coosa Valley Tennis Association is now holding registration for the 2012 Flex Singles league. Flex league will cost $15 including the Tennislink fee.
