$19,346 raised in Feb. 25 Heart of the Community Walk

 
Media release: The 2012 Heart of the Community Walk held Saturday, Feb. 25, raised $19,346.98 for
the Heart of the Community Foundation and these funds will be donated to enhance and expand the walk trails in Rome.  Enhancements will include the  purchase of two, two-panel metal signs for the Jackson Hill Recreational Trail, detailing (1) the trail's length, grade and degree of difficulty and (2) the  natural and cultural significance of Jackson Hill.  Additionally, the contributions
will help fund Phase I of the Redmond Trail, beginning at the northern-most end  of the Oostanaula River Levee Trail and ending north of Tolbert Park in the  Summerville Park neighborhood.
