Pepperell High senior Stephanie Barwick named Exchange Club's Youth of the Year

Media release: Stephanie Barwick, a senior at Pepperell High School, was named the Rome
Exchange Club's Youth of the Year on Friday.  Barwick delivered a speech at
the noon Exchange Club meeting held at the Paladium.  The speech focused on
the youth of today and expressed Barwick's view that many have lost track of
the nation's founding fathers vision for the country.

Carsten Boehm represented Armuchee High, Kyle Peals represented Coosa High,
Kristian Kelley represented Model High and there were also representatives
from Darlington and Rome High at the Exchange contest.  Barwick will now
represent the Rome club at the Georgia District Conference in June.

Barwick earlier in the year won the state title in the Georgia FFA Job
Interview Career Development Event at the state finals at Abraham Baldwin
Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia.  She plans to seek a career in
agribusiness and is considering Kennesaw State University, North Georgia
College and State University or Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College after
graduation.
