Media release: Danielle Roberson, a waitress at The Partridge Restaurant in Rome, Ga., has been named the first Superstar of Service award winner for 2012 by the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau (GRCVB). Roberson was surprised with the award by representatives of the GRCVB and Rome - Floyd Hospitality Association while working the lunch hour on Tuesday.

Superstars of Service for outstanding customer service are nominated by the public and chosen by the Board of Directors of the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Roberson, who has been in Rome for 10 years, has worked at the Partridge Restaurant for 5 months under owners Rick Patterson and Shannon Wilson.

Roberson was nominated by Rome resident Kevin Grueber. "She made us laugh and she laughed with us, and she went well out of her way to make sure that we late lunchers had hot, fresh food and plenty of it."

"She took great care of us from beginning to end and I can honestly say that Danielle's service was the best service we have received in 15 plus years in Rome," said Grueber.

Roberson credits her success to working with a great team at The Partridge Restaurant and connecting with each person. "I enjoy the relationships that I build with all the customers, it's what keeps me coming back and loving my job every day," said Roberson.

The Superstars of Service program was launched by the GRCVB in 2011 to recognize individuals in all areas of service who display exceptional customer relations and care.

"Danielle is a prime example of the amazing individuals we have working on the front line across Floyd County who are devoted to maintaining an excellent experience for everyone who visits and lives in our community," said Lisa Smith, executive director of the GRCVB.

The Superstar of Service award is presented every three months and all employees in Rome & Floyd County are eligible for the award. To nominate an outstanding individual for the award, visit the Rome - Floyd Visitor Center for a paper form or visit www.RomeGeorgia.org for an online form.
