Media release: The Rome Tractor Supply Co. was recognized on Sunday, January 08, 2012 with the Paper Clover Award from Floyd County 4-H and the National 4-H council. Throughout September and October of 2011 customers at Tractor Supply Company (TSC) stores nationwide had the opportunity to purchase a paper 4-H clover for $1 which was donated back to 4-H. This proved to be a wonderful fundraising opportunity for 4-H within Georgia and nationally. The Rome Tractor Supply Company was one of the top three stores in the state to exceed their fundraising goal for the paper clover campaign.

Tractor Supply Company operates more than 940 stores in 44 states. The Company's stores are focused on supplying the lifestyle needs of recreational farmers and ranchers. The Company also serves the maintenance needs of those who enjoy the rural lifestyle, as well as tradesmen and small businesses. Stores are located in towns outlying major metropolitan markets and in rural communities.
Floyd County 4-H agent Elizabeth Brewster, Program Assistant Beth Underwood, Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent Keith Mickler,  and members of the Floyd County 4-H club were on hand Sunday afternoon at the Tractor Supply store to recognize the stores accomplishment and to present manager Rob Hastings with their award certificate.  Members of the 4-H club assisted customers with their purchases and provided information about the 4-H club.  "We are so grateful for the support of Tractor Supply and its customers, this is a great campaign. This partnership will provide funding that is critical to our 4-H programs on a county, state, and national level. Every dollar donated helps to enrich the lives of so many young people by teaching life skills, citizenship and leadership qualities. "-Agent Elizabeth Brewster.
