Rome Symphony Christmas Concert Dec. 3

Media release: Start the holiday season with our December 3, 2011 concert.
Enjoy Handel's "Overture" from The Messiah, Anderson's "Christmas Festival",
Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite No. 1", a traditional Carol sing-along.

There will also be a very special performance of Mendelssohn's "Violin
Concerto in E-minor" with violinist Katherine Wolfe.

Katherine Wolfe has performed in the United States, Canada, Costa Rica,
Bolivia, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, the Soviet Union, Italy, Spain and the
Netherlands. She also shares her passion for music as a teacher. Originally
from Minnesota, she is currently at The University of Iowa as Senior
Professor of Violin.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $ 10 for seniors and $2 for students when you
purchase your tickets in advance at our retail outlets or on-line. On- line
purchases may be picked up at "Will Call" at the City Auditorium on Dec. 3
prior to the performance.

The performance is at the Rome City Auditorium, 7:30 p.m. Doors open at
6:30 p.m. At-door prices are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $5 for
students. Special group rates are available for groups of 8 or more by
calling the RSO office at 706.291.7967.
