New: June Home Sales Down; Median Price $82,000
Floyd County had 61 homes sales in June according to Greater Rome Multiple Listing Service (GRMLS)
. This is a drop from May's total of 71, which benefited from the previous April 30th expiration deadline for the home buyer tax credit (the credit has now been extended to Sept. 30). The trend of over half the sales being priced below $100,000 continues as 34 homes were sold at this level in June. There were only 12 homes sold priced above $200,000. (Source: Sipp Reality)
