'Out' card for alleged Publix in Rome? Business briefs. First Friday concert. Hot, soggy weekend

Business Buzz:

-New twist for strip center--'CPR with Mickey': A Dallas-based CPR/first aid training center founded by Mickey Sturdivant, an emergency and ICUnurse, is opening a storefront in Main Street Commons in Cartersville near Kohl's. Click

-Bruce Epperson, most recently with Henger Rast Mortgage and the author of a popular newsletter among the real estate community here, has taken a job as a mortgage originator with the Fifth Third Bank in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
