Something to think about . . .

-New levee cut--timing is everything: This image taken Thursday gives you something to think about. The new cut has been made in the levee as part of the reconfiguring of traffic flow to Heritage Park and along Second Avenue near Barron Stadium. The fields behind the cut often flood during heavy rain. The river never rose high enough to cause any real concern following our recent soaking.

Dining & Drink:

-Johnny's New York Style Pizza ready to cook: Robert Blumberg, right, and his son, Christopher, will open the franchise at 233 Broad St. starting Tuesday. Crews have spent much of the past three months refitting the former home of Riverside Gourmet and, before that, the antique mall. For more on Johnny's, please click Dining.
