Franco Perkins to be named Rome High head football coach
-Hometown Headlines has learned former West Rome standout Franco Perkins will soon be named head football coach of the Rome High Wolves. A formal announcement on Rome's sixth head football coach is pending. Perkins replaces Sid Fritts, who has joined Elbert County High. Perkins has served as defensive coordinator at RHS since 2003. He also was an assistant coach from 1997 to 2002.
