FLOOD WARNING, FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR FLOYD

-Warning: Coosa River six miles southwest of Rome was at flood stage, 24 feet. Minor flooding is forecast. The warning lasts until 1 a.m. Wednesday> Details

C&S Trophies adds to Cotton Block's come back:

-Look for C&S Trophies to move to 7 Broad St. effective Monday, Nov. 2. The business has been based at 338 Broad for more than 30 years. The new site is in the Cotton Block close to Pullen's Ordinary Bicycles. This is the third downtown business to switch sites this year. Also on the move: Mattress Direct and Paula's Silver & Gold. Roger Wade's Mattress Direct will be just down from C&S, and both are part of the new growth in that part of Broad.

-In recent years, Massey's/The Diamond Store has moved there as well as the adjoining Cotton Block Hall. Also, Downtown Mr. Brown's barbecue has some new smoke rising from the former Cotton Block BBQ spot.

-There are vacancies to fill, including what was to be the Appalachian Grill as well as the former home of McIntosh Commercial Bank above Second and Broad.

Our kind of course -- BBQ 101: New from Georgia Northwestern Technical College is BBQ 101. The one-morning course is from 9 a.m. until noon at the college's Walker County campus. More swine flu vaccine shots today: The Floyd County Health Department will continue to offer the swine flu nasal spray vaccine to healthy children ages 2 to 4 on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.> Health
